Requirements/Requisitos

The child must be no older than 7 years of age; otherwise he/she must attend the children RCIA program and be baptized according to the program.
1. El niño no debe tener más de 7 años; de lo contrario, él / ella debe asistir al programa de niños RICA y ser bautizado de acuerdo con el programa.
Parents must present a copy of the birth certificate of the child at the time of registration.
1. Los padres deben presentar una copia del certificado de nacimiento del niño al momento de registracion.

Godparents must be a person that is 18 years old, is in good sacramental status and is a practicing Roman Catholic. Proof of Sacraments of Initiation must be submitted at the moment of registration of the child for this Sacrament.
1. Los padrinos deben ser una persona que tenga 18 años, esta en buen estado sacramental y sea católico practicante. Deberá entregar una prueba de los Sacramentos de Iniciación al registrar el niño/a.
If they are a married , they must be married by the Roman Catholic Church (Cannon Law 847). Proof of Sacrament Marriage must be submitted at the moment of registration of the child for this Sacrament.
1. Si son pareja, deben estar casados por la Iglesia Católica Romana (Ley Cannon 847). Deberán entregar una prueba del Sacramento de Matrimonio al momento de la registración del niño/a.

Both parents and godparents must attend a preparation class, no exemptions, unless they have already attended a class within 1 year from the schedule date of Baptism and present their attendance certificate.
1. Ambos padres y padrinos deben asistir a una clase de preparación, sin excepciones, a menos que ya hayan asistido a una clase dentro de 1 año a partir de la fecha programada para el bautismo y presenten un certificado de asistencia
